We are seeking a dedicated CDL Driver for our Water & Sewer Division located in New York City. This full-time position offers an opportunity to be a vital part of a critical industry ensuring safe and efficient transportation of materials essential for public infrastructure. As a CDL Driver, you will directly impact community health and safety by contributing to the maintenance and development of vital water and sewer systems.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate commercial vehicles to transport materials to and from job sites while adhering to all safety regulations.Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of vehicles ensuring all equipment is in safe operating condition.Maneuver vehicles in tight spaces and perform loading and unloading of materials as required.Maintain accurate and up-to-date logs of hours worked, materials transported, and mileage driven.Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate schedules and deliveries.Resolve any issues that may arise during transportation and report them to the appropriate personnel.Adhere to traffic laws and regulations to ensure safety for all road users.Required and Preferred QualificationsValid CDL License is mandatory.High School Diploma or GED is required.1-3 years of experience driving commercial vehicles is preferred.Familiarity with local roads and traffic patterns in New York City.Ability to lift heavy objects and navigate physically demanding environments.Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.Knowledge of safety and regulatory protocols in the transportation industry.The Water & Sewer Division operates within a collaborative team structure focused on providing top-notch service to the community.
