Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Field Service Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and electromechanical systems at customer sites. Candidates with a U.S. Army or U.S. Navy background are strongly preferred due to their training in technical operations, disciplined work style, safety focus, and ability to perform in dynamic field environments.This role involves extensive fieldwork, customer interaction, technical diagnostics, and ensuring critical systems remain operational. Key ResponsibilitiesField Service & Technical SupportPerform installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, power equipment, control panels, and related hardware.Conduct diagnostic testing, fault isolation, component replacement, and system-level troubleshooting.Execute scheduled and unscheduled service visits as required by customer needs.System Operations & SafetyFollow strict safety protocols aligned with OSHA, NFPA 70E, and company standards.Ensure proper lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures are followed for all electrical work.Maintain detailed service logs, test reports, and equipment documentation.Customer InteractionProvide on-site technical expertise, operational guidance, and training to customer personnel.Communicate clearly on system issues, repair timelines, and preventive maintenance recommendations.Represent the company with professionalism and integrity in all customer engagements.Military Skill Alignment (Preferred Experience)Apply mission-oriented discipline, accountability, and situational awareness in field operations.Utilize technical training in electrical, electronics, avionics, generators, shipboard power, or ground-support electrical systems.Demonstrate readiness to work in complex or high-pressure environments, similar to shipboard, deployment, or field conditions. Required Qualifications3+ years of electrical maintenance, repair, or field service experience.Strong understanding of electrical systems up to 480V (or higher depending on application).Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.Proficiency with multimeters, oscilloscopes, insulation testers, and other diagnostic tools.Valid driver’s license; ability to travel frequently. Preferred QualificationsU.S. Army MOS examples: 94F (Computer/Detection Systems Repair), 91F/H (Electrical/Power Systems), 12-series engineers with electrical focus.U.S. Navy ratings: EM (Electrician’s Mate), ET (Electronics Technician), AE/AT (Avionics), EN/GS with electrical experience.Experience with generators, UPS systems, switchgear, PLCs, or power distribution equipment.Certifications: OSHA-10/30, NFPA 70E, Journeyman Electrician (desired).
