CPA preferred, not required with strong skills in reviewing and preparing complex returns for commercial real estate partnerships, construction companies, manufacturers, distributors, and other closely held businesses. About the Role: What You’ll Work On You’ll be hands-on with a mix of clients in industries that require real technical depth, including: Commercial real estate partnershipsConstruction contractors and developersManufacturing and distribution companiesClosely held businesses across multiple states This role does not involve: International taxPublic company or SEC workBig-firm siloed specializationIf that’s your background or interest, this isn’t the right fit. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and review complex federal and state income tax returns for partnerships, S corporations, C corporations, and high-net-worth individuals Handle multi-state filing requirements, nexus considerations, and allocation/apportionment issuesResearch and resolve tax questions for clients proactivelyManage workflow, meet deadlines, and communicate clearly with clients and partnersSupervise staff as neededSupport tax planning, projections, and transactional matters Required Qualifications: Minimum 5 years of tax experience in a CPA firmStrong competency with pass-through entitiesExperience with real estate/construction/manufacturing strongly preferredAbility to manage multiple engagements without dramaSolid working knowledge of CCH Prosystem fx and tax research tools
