We are seeking a dedicated Freelance Mental Health & Child Counsellor to join our team in California, Maryland. Key Responsibilities Conduct initial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans based on client needs. Utilize a client-centered approach to provide counseling services to children facing various mental health challenges. Facilitate therapy sessions, employing active listening and empathy to build rapport with clients. Monitor client progress and adapt strategies to ensure sustainable development and emotional health. Collaborate with parents and guardians to provide guidance and resources, promoting continuity of care. Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with ethical standards and regulations. Participate in professional development and training to stay updated with best practices in child mental health. Required and Preferred Qualifications A degree in Psychology or Counseling is required. Empathy, Client-Centered Approach, Active Listening, Problem-Solving, and Communication skills are essential. Preferred certifications in mental health counseling or child therapy. Experience in working with children and families in a counseling setting is advantageous. Familiarity with relevant counseling software/tools is a plus. Minimum of 2 years of experience in mental health or child counseling is preferred.
