(feel free to reach out to one of our existing employees to know more about how we work)Background for this roleWe spent 2025 establishing our presence at global developer conferences and meetups, gaining essential insights into effective community engagement. Now, we are ready to ramp up our efforts, and we need a proven developer advocate to define how we do it.We are looking for an experienced Senior Developer Advocate to head our engagement with the global developer community, including both large events and smaller local dev meetups, particularly in the US market. This is a high-autonomy, high-impact role where you will move us from initial outreach to a fully realized, world-class DevRel program.Key Responsibilities1. Speaking at conferences and meetups (60%)Actively identify, submit proposals, and create and present compelling, technical talks about ImageKit, media optimization, and relevant web technologies or web performance at top-tier conferences globally and local meetups (especially in the US, but other geographies will get covered as well).2. Content and demo creation (30%)Independently conceptualize, write, and publish high-quality technical content, including blog posts, tutorials, deep-dive code examples for our product and SDKs (e.g., React, Angular, Vue, "video streaming in Angular"), and best practices (eg, "optimizing videos for mobile").3. DevRel Program Ownership & Management (10%)Contribute to the overall DevRel strategy and manage the budget for talks and eventsIn collaboration with the founding team, design, launch, and eventually own ImageKit's global external Dev Advocate program. This includes defining program details, compensation structures, recruitment, and management of sponsored external developer advocates.Note: Your involvement in this part of the role would increase gradually, if needed. Initially, the founding team will lead this part.Qualifications & ExperienceYou must have a demonstrable track record of giving impactful, technical presentations at reputable national or international developer conferences. A recording of a past talk is required.Technical depth and hands-on experience building web applications and creating sample integration code, particularly with JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, Vue, etc.).Ability to independently generate new talk ideas, research technologies, prepare slides, and write production-ready code examples.Confident and articulate presenter whose presentation skills, confidence, and technical delivery are top-tier.
