SummaryThe Quality Control Chemist II is responsible for performing advanced analytical testing to ensure the quality, integrity, and regulatory compliance of pharmaceutical and chemical products. This role requires hands-on analytical laboratory experience, with strong command of HPLC, GC, and Empower software. Working within a cGMP-regulated environment, the QC Chemist II supports product release, stability testing, raw material qualification, and laboratory investigations.The position operates within GE HealthCare’s Pharmaceutical Diagnostics (PDx) division—a global leader in imaging agents that support radiology procedures worldwide.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct routine and non-routine analysis of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished goods using HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, FTIR, and other analytical tools.Review, interpret, and report analytical results in compliance with cGMP, USP, and ICH standards.Execute chromatographic methods using Empower for data collection, processing, and reporting.Participate in method development, validation, optimization, and troubleshooting activities.Maintain meticulous laboratory documentation including notebooks, logbooks, and electronic systems.Conduct or support investigations for OOS results, deviations, and laboratory discrepancies.Contribute to continuous improvement, SOP updates, and team training initiatives.Follow laboratory safety protocols and maintain an organized, compliant working environment.Required QualificationsAnalytical laboratory experience in a regulated pharmaceutical or chemical environment.Strong hands-on expertise in HPLC and GC, including troubleshooting.Proficiency with Empower chromatography data software.Knowledge of regulatory requirements (FDA, cGMP, GLP, ICH).Exceptional attention to detail and strong documentation practices.Ability to work independently and collaboratively.Behavioral ExpectationsAll GE HealthCare employees are expected to:Act with humility and build trustLead with transparencyDeliver with focusTake ownership with unwavering integrityCompensation & Benefits (U.S. Only)May be eligible for performance-based incentives (bonus/LTI).Comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, paid time off, 401(k) with contributions, life & disability insurance, and tuition reimbursement.Additional InformationU.S. work authorization required.
