Civil Designer – Remote (Full-Time)A growing engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Civil Designer with a minimum of 5 years in civil engineering to support transportation-related infrastructure design projects. This fully remote role offers strong opportunities for professional growth and advancement for a self-motivated individual.Position OverviewThe Civil Designer will prepare engineering drawings, exhibits, and design plans using MicroStation and OpenRoads. The role includes supporting project managers, coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams, and contributing to design, production, and project delivery for clients across various transportation sectors such as agriculture, chemical, building materials, aggregates, and energy.Primary ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams and construction staff on rail and transportation design projects.Support project management functions including quality control, design oversight, specifications, and budget tracking.Use MicroStation/OpenRoads to create concept aerial drawings, design plan/profile sheets, and detailed CAD outputs.Develop roadway modeler templates, generate cross sections, and define mass grading for track projects.Prepare engineering drawings and digital maps using survey datasets as required.Update, modify, and finalize plans for submittal to relevant transportation or railroad agencies.Manage project documentation, schedules, progress updates, and design coordination with internal teams.Prepare plans, specifications, construction cost estimates, and support the development of rail-related design packages.Review and self-check all deliverables to ensure accuracy and compliance with drafting standards.Assist in estimating design effort and preparing technical inputs for proposals.Required Education & ExperienceHigh School Diploma or equivalent required.Completion of a technical trade school program in CAD, drafting, or related field preferred.Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in civil engineering, drafting, or infrastructure design.Equivalent combinations of training and experience will be considered. will be waiting for your reply. Key SkillsCivil Designer
