One to One LPN's in Wake County NC LPNs (or RNs) who are licensed by the NC Board of Nursing, CPR and BLS certified, and who are experienced in providing the type of nursing care that an individual student requires. LPNs (or RNs) who are skilled and experienced in meeting the medical needs of an individual student who requires services in order to ensure their well-being and safety during the educational day. Nursing care may be required during the following times: transport to/from school, during times that the student is on school grounds, during in-class instruction and activities, during PE and recess, during field trips and school related events. Nursing services may include the following: • Create a medical plan of care • Follow physician-ordered treatment plans • Implement physician-ordered clinical interventions • Monitor and assess the mental and medical needs of the student • Oversee the health status of the student including checking vitals/blood pressure, temperature • Address immediate medical needs of the student • Assist with mobility, seating, and engagement as needed • Manage medical equipment and technology • Administer medications and treatments • Change dressings, bandages and equipment as prescribed by physician • Assist with self-care and classroom routines
