In this full-time role, you will play an essential part in providing compassionate care to mothers and newborns, ensuring that they receive the highest quality of medical attention during a critical time of their lives.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide prenatal, antenatal, and postnatal care to expectant mothers and their newborns.Assist in delivery and monitor the health and well-being of mothers and babies during the postpartum period.Educate mothers on maternal health, infant care, and family planning practices.Administer medications and vaccinations as needed and monitor patient vitals.Maintain accurate health records and documentation of patient care.Participate in community outreach programs to promote maternal and child health awareness.Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to provide comprehensive care.Required and preferred qualificationsDiploma in Nursing and Midwifery is required.Experience in maternal health is strongly preferred.Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is advantageous.Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus.Minimum of 2 years of experience in a nursing role, preferably in maternal settings.In this role, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team comprising obstetricians, pediatricians, and nursing staff. You will report to the Lead Nurse and have regular interactions with community health workers.
