We are seeking a dedicated On-Site Interpreter to join our team in Peoria, Illinois. Your contributions will empower individuals and help bridge communication gaps in the community.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide accurate and professional interpretation services between clients and service providers in various settings.Facilitate effective communication in person while maintaining confidentiality and neutrality.Assist in the preparation of documents and materials for interpretation sessions.Engage with clients to ascertain their specific needs and ensure comprehension of the interpreted information.Collaborate with team members and supervisors to improve interpretation processes and share best practices.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry terminology and cultural nuances.Adhere to codes of ethics and professional standards relevant to the interpreting field.Required and Preferred QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent.Proficiency in at least two languages (English and a second language).Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Prior experience in interpretation or a related field is preferred.Knowledge of relevant industry-standard certifications is a plus (such as NIC, CCHI).Familiarity with common software tools used in interpretation services.Ability to demonstrate at least 1-2 years of experience in a similar role is a plus.This role offers growth opportunities within our company as we continue to expand our services.
