We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team in Concord, CA. As a key player in our healthcare facility, you will contribute to the rehabilitation and care of patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or other physical impairments. This contract position provides an opportunity to work in a supportive work environment, where your efforts directly impact patient recovery and overall well-being.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist licensed physical therapists in developing and implementing patient treatment plans.Provide direct patient care, employing exercises and modalities as prescribed by the physical therapist.Monitor and document patient progress, communicating any changes or challenges to the supervising therapist.Educate patients and their families on exercises and preventative strategies to enhance recovery.Maintain cleanliness and organization of the therapy area, ensuring safety and compliance with regulations.Participate in team meetings to discuss patient outcomes and contribute ideas for care improvement.Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients throughout their rehabilitation journey.Required and preferred qualificationsAssociate's Degree in Physical Therapy.Certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant (preferred).Demonstrated experience in patient care within a rehabilitation setting (1-2 years preferred).Basic knowledge of physical therapy modalities and techniques.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.Our team is structured with a focus on collaboration and support.
