To ensure smooth functioning of all plumbing, HVAC systems, and medical gas manifold operations in the hospital by performing regular maintenance, attending breakdowns, and ensuring compliance with safety and healthcare standards.2. Key Roles & ResponsibilitiesA. Plumbing ResponsibilitiesMaintain and repair all plumbing systems: pipelines, valves, pumps, drainage, water supply lines.Install and service washbasins, taps, flush tanks, faucets, showers, and RO water units.Check and rectify water leakages, blockages, low-pressure issues.Ensure proper functioning of STP/RO plants (basic support if required).Maintain water tank cleaning schedule and monitor water quality.Respond to emergency plumbing calls, especially in patient care areas.B. HVAC ResponsibilitiesOperate, maintain, and repair AHUs, FCUs, VRV/VRF systems, split ACs, and window ACs.Perform preventive maintenance: filter cleaning, coil cleaning, belt inspection, lubrication, temperature & airflow checks.Monitor temperature and humidity in critical areas (OT, ICU, NICU, Cath Lab).Diagnose HVAC breakdowns and ensure minimum downtime.Maintain chillers and cooling towers (basic maintenance if required).Ensure HVAC systems meet NABH standards for hospital air quality.C. Medical Gas Manifold ResponsibilitiesMonitor and operate medical gas manifold systems: oxygen, nitrous oxide, compressed air, and vacuum.Perform daily logbook entries for cylinder pressure, gas levels, and consumption.Coordinate with vendors for timely cylinder replenishment.Check for leakages, ensure proper regulator functioning, and maintain manifold safety compliance.Support in pipeline troubleshooting for medical gas outlets in wards, OTs, and ICU.Ensure safety protocols as per hospital & statutory guidelines.D. General ResponsibilitiesComplete Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Breakdown Maintenance (BM) as per schedule.Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition.Fill maintenance logs, checklists, and daily reports.Coordinate with nursing, housekeeping, and department heads for timely task completion.Follow hospital safety policies, fire safety, and emergency procedures.Support facility team during audits (NABH, Fire, Safety, Biomedical).3. Required Skills & QualificationsITI / Diploma in Plumbing, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Mechanical, or related field.Minimum 2–5 years of experience in hospitals, hotels, or commercial facilities.Knowledge of HVAC systems, medical gas manifold operation, and plumbing works.Ability to read technical drawings and troubleshoot independently.Good communication and teamwork skills.
