We are seeking a talented and experienced Enterprise Architect/Kafka Architect to join our dynamic team in Maclean, VA. Your expertise in Kafka and data integration will directly impact our ability to manage and analyze large sets of data effectively, ensuring that our company remains at the forefront of technology in a competitive industry.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement scalable, high-performance event-driven architecture solutions using Kafka and Confluent technologies.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deploy data integration strategies that align with business goals.Analyze current systems and processes to identify opportunities for improvement and integration of Kafka Streams and ksqlDB.Lead technical workshops and presentations to educate teams on best practices and usage of Kafka technologies.Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues in Kafka environments, ensuring robust and efficient data flow.Document architecture designs, decisions, and maintained standards for future reference and training.Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and refine system functionality to meet evolving business needs.Required and preferred qualificationsBachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.5+ years of experience in software architecture, specifically with Kafka and Confluent technologies.Proficient in cloud services and data integration techniques.Familiarity with event-driven architecture principles.Knowledge of Kafka Streams and ksqlDB for data processing.Strong understanding of distributed systems and microservices.Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to work in a team-oriented environment.Our team benefits from a collaborative and innovative culture that encourages personal and professional growth.
