In this role, you will not only manage complex legal matters but also contribute to the success of our clients by helping them navigate through challenging financial situations.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct legal research and draft various legal documents pertaining to collections and bankruptcy cases.Advise credit unions on compliance with state and federal regulations related to collections and bankruptcy.Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and negotiations to effectively resolve disputes.Develop and implement legal strategies to improve the outcomes of collections for clients.Assist in trial preparation, including the preparation of witness statements and evidence collection.Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation to support ongoing litigation.Collaborate with team members to share insights and updates related to case developments and client needs.Required and preferred qualificationsBachelor's Degree in Law or a related field is required.Demonstrated experience in litigation, specifically dealing with collections and bankruptcy cases.Knowledge of legal documents and their implications within the context of credit union operations.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to handle complex legal challenges.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective client interactions.Membership in a state bar association is preferred.Proficiency with legal research databases and case management software is a plus.Our team is composed of experienced attorneys and support staff who work closely together, fostering a collaborative atmosphere.
