In this full-time position, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of students while working within a supportive community.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet each student’s unique learning needs.Provide specialized instruction in a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.Collaborate with parents, educators, and specialists to ensure a holistic approach to student development.Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching strategies accordingly to maximize learning outcomes.Create a positive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and behavioral development.Maintain accurate records of student performance, IEP goals, and any necessary compliance documentation.Participate actively in staff meetings and professional development workshops to enhance teaching effectiveness.Required and Preferred QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Special Education or a related field.California State Teaching Credential in Special Education.Minimum of 1 years of experience working with students with disabilities preferred.Knowledge of special education laws and ethical practices.Familiarity with relevant software and tools used for student assessment and IEP documentation.This role is part of a collaborative team structure involving general education teachers, special education staff, and various support professionals to ensure comprehensive student care. You will report directly to the school Principal and will work closely with the school’s special education coordinator.
